BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF HANUMAN CHALISA
Human Chalisa begins with the word in the introductory couplet,- “Shri Guru,” which refers to Lord Shiva, who is considered the Guru (teacher) of Hanuman Ji. In the first ten verses, the auspicious form, virtues, knowledge, powers, and bravery of Hanuman Ji are described. The acts of Hanuman, which he performs in his service to Shri Ram, are described in Verses eleven to ninetieth- The eleventh to fifteenth verses describes the role of Hanuman in bringing back Lakshman to consciousness; In the sixteenth and seventieth verses is described the role of Hanuman Ji in making Sugriva king of monkeys and Vibishna king of Lanka.
Verses eighteenth and ninetieth describe the childhood act of Hanuman Ji leaping towards the sun and jumping across the ocean with Shri Rama’s ring in his mouth. From the verse twenty, Tulsidas JI describes the need for Hanuman’s Grace and that he is the donor of eight Siddhis (supernatural powers) and Nine Nidhis (divine treasures). The 39th verse tells the need to chant Hanuman Chalisa. In the fortieth verse, Tulsidas pray to Hanuman Ji with devotion and request him to reside in his heart. The concluding Couplet (Doha) is a prayer to Hanuman Ji to reside in our heart, along with Shri Ram, Lakshman, and Sita.
HISTORY OF HANUMAN CHALISA
Once Akbar invited Goswami Tulsidas Ji to his court and asked him to introduce him to Lord Shri Ram. Then Tulsidas Ji said that Lord Shri Rama only gives darshan to his devotees. On hearing this, Akbar got Goswami Tulsidas Ji imprisoned.
In prison, Goswami Tulsidas Ji wrote Hanuman Chalisa in the Awadhi language. The moment the work of writing Hanuman Chalisa was completed, the monkeys surrounded the entire Fatehpur Sikri and attacked it. Akbar’s army also failed to stop the terror of the monkeys. Then Akbar, following the advice of a minister, freed Tulsidas Ji from prison. As soon as Tulsidas Ji was released from the prison, the monkey left the whole area.
ASTROLOGICAL IMPORTANCE OF HANUMAN CHALISA

HANUMAN CHALISA
Hanuman Chalisa is a poetic work written in Awadhi which describes the qualities and actions of Lord Rama’s (the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu), great devotee Hanuman Ji in forty verses. This is a very small work in which beautiful praise has been given to Pawanaputra Shri Hanuman Ji. In this, not only is there the sentimental prayer of Bajrang Bali, but Shri Ram’s personality is also engraved in simple words. ‘Chalisa’ means ‘forty’ (40). There are 40 verses in this devotional hymn (excluding the Dohe (couplets) of introduction and end).
Hanuman Chalisa’s author is Goswami Tulsidas Ji, a saint-poet, reformer, and philosopher of the 16th century and renowned for his devotion to Shri Rama. Tulsidas Ji was considered in his lifetime to be a reincarnation of Sage Valmiki, the composer of the original Ramayan in Sanskrit. The Chalisa reflects his knowledge and devotion to Rama. Tulsidas starts the hymn with the praising of the Guru (teacher) and mentions his name in the last verse of the Hanuman Chalisa. The 39th verse of the Hanuman Chalisa says that one who will cant Hanuman Chalisa with total devotion will obtain Siddhi (accomplishment or liberation) by Hanuman’s grace. It is a prevalent belief among Hindus that chanting the Hanuman Chalisa invokes Hanuman’s divine intervention in grave problems.
Hindus consider Hanuman Ji as an icon of bravery, courage, and devotion. Hanuman Ji is also called by the names Bajrangbali, Pawanaputra, Marutinandan, KesariNandan, Mahavir, etc. It is believed that Hanuman Ji is one of seven immortals as per Sanatan Dharm. By remembering Hanuman Ji every day and chanting Hanuman Chalisa, all the fears of a human being are removed. It is said that the recitation of Hanuman Chalisa removes fear, eradicates distress. Hanuman Chalisa awakens devotion along with superior knowledge in mind.
BENEFITS OF HANUMAN CHALISA
• All wishes get fulfilled
In the Hanuman Chalisa, it is said that Hanuman Ji is the donor of Ashta Siddhi ( eight supernatural powers) and Nav Nidhi ( Nine divine treasures) (Verse 31). The person who regularly recites Hanuman Chalisa, Hanuman Ji, fulfills his every wish.

Hanuman Chalisa has a couplet ‘Bhoot pishacha nikat… Naam sunavai” (verse 24). It is told from this couplet that the person who recites the regular Hanuman Chalisa does not have ghosts and other negative powers around him.

It is also written in Hanuman Chalisa, “Nasai Rog… Hanumat Bira” (verse 25). Regular recitation of Hanuman Chalisa helps in getting rid of diseases. People who often remain ill or not cured even after considerable treatment should regularly recite Hanuman Chalisa.

Hanuman Ji is proficient in everything; all virtues reside in him. It is also described in Hanuman Chalisa. ‘Vidyavan guni… ko atura (Verse 7). Hanuman Ji also fills these qualities among those who recite Hanuman Chalisa with their devotion.

By reciting Hanuman Chalisa with regular rules, Hanuman Ji gives special grace, and after leaving the body, he gets a place in the supreme abode. This thing is also mentioned in Hanuman Chalisa. “Ant kaal… Hari bhakt kahai”(Verse 34).
